Asus will launch tablet netbook with Windows XP and then with Windows 7

This summer, Asus will launch the Asus Eee PC T91 in United Kingdom. It is a tablet netbook with a rotating screen. The Asus Eee PC T91 can be transformed into a tablet and that is a great innovation in the growing line of Asus Eee PCs.

The Asus Eee PC T91 has a 8.9-inch rotating touchscreen and that feature allows to use the computer as a tablet PC. The Asus Eee PC T91 will cost around £449 (approximately $680) and initially it will be available with Windows XP and an Asus proprietary touch-screen technology.

According to Asus, the update to Windows 7 could be possible. And in the long term, the company hopes that the Asus Eee PC T91 can be dispatched with Windows 7.

Asus is also negotiating with some broadband providers in order to produce a version of the Asus Eee PC T91 with integrated 3G mobile connectivity. This feature would be offered “for free”, but with a signed contract of mobile broadband.
